The sign of a true professional is to be able to maintain a high level of intensity for each and every game. In this case, Peterson recognizes that the Vikings have to “handle their business” (as he put it) in Detroit, even though the Lions have gone winless since week 16 of the ‘07 season.
Peterson’s intensity seems to be infectious, as was displayed on his 64-yard touchdown run against the Browns. Not only did Hutchinson pancake the strongside linebacker, Sydney Rice was downfield to deliver the final block that sprung Peterson free.
Let’s see if the Vikings will be able to carry over the effort from the second half of the Brown’s game to Week 2 in Detroit.
