Since the internets are mainly used for porn and nonsensical tomfoolery, here is an aggregation of all the fun stuff all of you may have missed out on while at work. Greg Oden made a little splash (actually quite a large splash) in the news this week when a old photo of the cliched athlete mirror [...] Finally, the end all be all of media has descended upon us mortals, culminating into one incredibly awesome and even more juvenile tiff between ESPN talking head and “journalist” Jay Mariotti and godfather of sports blogs Will Leitch. Now, this doesn’t quite have the audience nor the juice of the Leitch v. Bissinger bout, but Mariotti [...] Since we’re trying to make this thing semi-legitimate, regardless of poop jokes and the occasional un-AP style of prose that most major outlets do not prefer, we (meaning Large Tuna) will be Tweeting from the sidelines, press box and locker room for tomorrow’s pre-season game against the Redskins. That being said, you can expect the following: It [...] If you remember about a month or so ago, the City That Reeds I-Team uncovered a Tweet about Troy Smith that admitted to him smoking marijuana cigarettes…reefers (bong sound). Well thanks to Edward Lee at the Baltimore Sun the truth to that story is now just water pipe dreams. On the front page of The Sun’s [...] Do athletes realize that they are still public figures, and thus subject to public scrutiny? Troy Smith apparently has admitted (via Twitter) to the purchasing of a certain substance that happens to be controlled by certain federal agency like the DEA. The context of this whimsical Tweet all started when Ravens cornerback Fabian Washington throws [...] The Baltimore Ravens twitter feed has just begun advertising for the launch of offensive tackle Jared Gaither’s new blog site. Coincidentally Gaither’s blog has the same HTML format as the Ravens website. The site is decked out with photos, a blog, a shop where you can buy Jared Gaither71 t-shirts and even a Twitter feed. Now, so [...] OK, so Skip Bayless seems to be back. Actually, scratch that, multiple Bayless’ are now firing away hot tweets at unsuspecting twitters. Since the cancellation of the Bayless name a few weeks ago, he has since resurfaced and multiplied. There are now four Bayless accounts including a FakeSkipBayless, which is actually still illegal as Deadspin found [...] Take heed Twitter impostors, your tomfoolery will not be tolerated be Tony La Russa. St. Louis Cardinals manager Tony La Russa filed a law suit against Twitter stating someone was tweeting under his name unauthorized. Thus the hunt begins for the Skip Bayless culprit. Who will take down these evil men that put on face [...] The site has recieved a lot of traffic regarding the Skip Bayless Tweets Himself post, and so it goes both Bayless Twitter feeds are no longer in effect. Bayless’ tweeting shelf-life has subsided, it had to be fake when Bayless actually started following us on Twitter. It is a real shame that normal peasants uninhibited from [...] |
