Depending on how you look at it, I had the good fortune or misfortune of attending last night’s Ravens preseason game against the Carolina Panthers. The night was quite enjoyable until hell fire monsoons rained down upon us in biblical proportions. The biggest surprise for me last night was that Mark Clayton was finally not afraid [...] That’s right-it’s time to end the misery that is Steve Hauschka. For me, I felt that if he missed a third kick, the experiment was over. I have to be honest that I really don’t care who they bring in now, just do something because this city has zero faith that he can come through [...] I started my day reading The Sun’s coverage of yesterday’s loss to the Vikings already knowing what to expect. One of the columns was titled “No Stover? Ravens should kick themselves” by our favorite writer, Mike Preston. After a hard fought comeback in the last five minutes of the game, the Baltimore Ravens fell just two points short of handing the Minnesota Vikings their first loss of the season. Throughout the entire game, it seemed as if the Ravens couldn’t get out of their own way. Stupid [...] Ravens 14 Bengals 17 In probably one of the most pathetic performance by a usually clutch defense, the Baltimore Ravens failed to capitalize on extending their lead in the AFC North. Instead, they have relinquished that lead to the much improved Cincinnati Bengals, and now sit second in the division at 3-2, a half [...] I have to admit, Mike Preston hit the nail on the head this morning… But like most offensive coordinators, Cameron can’t slow it down when it’s going well. Because quarterback Joe Flacco is a No. 1 draft pick and the Ravens’ franchise player, it appears they want to win or lose on Flacco’s arm. That’s the wrong [...] In a game that really didn’t feel like a preseason contest, the good guys came out with a W. To break down how the different units did, we will be introducing the Rambo Reed Head. This is a scale from one to five on how well they did (five being the best). We’ll break down [...] The game had some sentimental meaning for this football fan as I grew up a Cowboy fan as Baltimore had no team The night was a display of Ed Reed talents Nothing good came from the 31-3 disaster of a game for the Ravens. Colts man handled the Ravens in every part of the game. Joe Flacco looked like a rookie QB and the line did nothing to help him. On the defense side of the ball the secondary broke down and the Colts quickly jumped [...] |
