From Baltimoreravens.com:
The Ravens signed receiver David Tyree on Tuesday, releasing tight end Tony Curtis to create a roster spot for the Super Bowl XLII hero.
I thought this move would happen during the preseason so better late than never. With the season injury to Ayanbadejo, Tyree will definitely see time on special teams. Time will tell what kind of an impact he has on the receiving ranks.
Curtis was sitting as the teams 4th tight end behind Edgar Jones and LJ Smith. Todd Heap has been playing great football so as long as he stays healthy (saying a little prayer-be right back), there was no need for that much depth.

I was down on the signing but realize this is more so a special team move, who knows he could catch a game winning TD.
I like the pickup personally for you guys
Going to be tough to fill Ayanbadejo’s shoes on special teams.
