Music Library Organized

Postby houdinisangel » July 11th, 2012, 1:13 am

If there ever was a time...
The wife and kid are away in NC so I productively organized my music collection. After many hours of unrecognized tracks and covers...it is complete.

18654 Songs, 53 Days 11 Hours 57 Minutes of music.

Achievement Unlocked
Now what?

How does one fix an unrecognized track? I have this issue when transfering to my zune (sometimes) and it drives me nuts. Do you have to manually change every song/artist title?

I think it has to be done manually.

There are some mass file changer apps I've seen around over the years, but I have seriously been thinking of doing something similar, but paying some neighborhood kid $50 to do it all for me. File Renamer is a great one if you want to standardize the names, and I think you can even have it change the metadata to make the artists and such appear. It was still very manual, though, just did more files at a time for you.

Need to do the same with my digital pics after I've created multiple backup folders over the years and now have double and triple of many.

Holy shit I feel lazy when I pay 30 bucks for an oil change. You are a busy and important man, I bet you have many leather-bound books and your house smells of rich mahogany.
