Ptrain Fitness Journal

Figured I'd should start posting in here from now on. Most of you know, but I started with the Biggest Loser back in January, which got me stronger, but really didn't do as much cardio. Plus, I still felt too jiggly and the back is always a concern. I just kind of watched what I ate in February and stopped working out because I was more concerned about losing weight at first than the cardio. Besides, I figured I could improve quicker if I dropped weight first... idk. I also didn't have a ton of time with classes and the kids. When I didn't have the kids, I always played catch up on my school work and to be honest didn't have the energy to put into working out. Besides, shit was falling apart with the gf at the time and I was back to being an emotional bish. March I did more dieting with a better eye on carbs. April went back to just keeping a tab on my weight until classes were done in May.

Actually started working out in May. I had gone from about 220 to about 205 consistently. I started off much better than in the past because I was already down weight. Did phase one within the first 2 weeks or so and decided to move on to phase two. Still working on phase two and really only have issues in a couple areas... situps and pushups are about it. Otherwise, I'm at or above what they do on screen. Between where I'm at emotionally, educationally, and physically, I am about as comfortable and happy as I've ever been... not to mention stable.

The back is still a concern, along with the ankles. Hopefully they can continue to hold out (knock on wood). It just feels good to be below what my target weight was at 200 and be shooting for 190 (195 right now), with a possibility to go lower. Though now, its more about inches around the waist. I've lost 3 inches around the gut and what remains barely hangs over the belt at all. A big thanks goes out to you guys for having a place to talk about doing all this stuff and the support... especially douchenozzle Elway licker... though, the competition really got me going this time around and got me down in weight enough that the body was able to hold up better than in the past.

All in all, its a byatch getting old... and I look forward to seeing if GSP (or his trainer I guess) has a nice strenuous short workout that'll be a step up from p90. I know the Biggest Loser workout is pretty tough on the higher settings as well, but I don't know about its cardio... might have to try it for a couple weeks again after p90 and before deciding to pull the trigger on Rushfit.

I pulled the trigger on Supreme 90. I need to stay more consistent with my workouts over summer though... I only worked out 3 days last week. I figured that even if one or two discs outta this thing works into my rotation, that's cool. It was only 12 bucks on Amazon. Still might do Rushfit down the road depending. I still have the Biggest Loser on the 360 which was decent for toning stuff. I remember it actually being a bitch on the higher levels, but its load time between exercises was lame and the detection was sketchy for some of the exercises.

Will do. It got decent reviews and was called a rip off of P90x, but easier and shorter... sounded perfect...lol.

F'n back went out putting in a door. I can get off the couch today, but have been on ice the last two days. As the kicker, the Supreme 90 package came in the mail... argh.

Started back up! Yay! I was able to keep the weight off for the two months I was on the shelf. I am only a couple days in on Supreme 90. First day was chest and back which was under 30 minutes I believe. It had those specific targets obviously. The routine is made for some friggin' ball that reminds me of those ones that had handles that kids would hop up and down on back in the 80s. My ex wife still had one, but it had some sort of fist attached... not sure why. However, I digress. They offer alternatives to not having the ball and it works fine. I also don't have light enough dumbells to use, but I was able to configure the resistance bands from p90 to work. I may just pick up some cheapos though... we'll see. I did skip the second day workout because it seemed to specifically be made for the ball of doom. I went to Tabata Inferno or some shit. Damn near puked. Full body workout with burpees, pushups, bicycles, etc. Half hour of pain. With the warmup and cool down, I'd put it around 40 minutes.

So far I'd venture to say its a pretty good start. Not along the lines of the P90x, but I think if you really didn't want to spend the money, this may be right up your alley and who is to say you can't just run the disc twice each day for a longer workout if wanted? 12 bucks man, 12 bucks.

Oh and I'm down around 187 right now. I am actually just looking at staying around there and maybe even putting on a little weight with toning up, gaining a bit of muscle to replace the little amount of tank I have left.

starting back up at 193. didn't stick with supreme because of the new job and school... I am not sure that I will be able to stay consistent with this, but since I was around 185-7 for the last however many months and I started to creep up, I wanted to try and nip it in the bud before I got around 2 bills. Besides, I can't just hit the juice and not exercise, especially since I've cut out nicotine, again, I need to wake up without half a pot of coffee and 4 sodas a day to keep going.
