Soulfly: Enslaved

Postby Lux Devil » March 28th, 2012, 10:07 am

the new soulfly doesn't sound exactly like traditional soulfly in that it doesn't have the usual brazilian accents that are usually in there. instead, it's just a total fuckin murderous assault! ain't complainin, just observing.

by the way, the new Lamb of God is pretty good as well but i'm a little tired of that guy's "singing".

I like the new Soulfly because it doesn't sound exactly like traditional Soulfly.

I'm liking the new LOG also. Have you heard the new Veil of Maya? Misha Mansoor produced this one for them, so they definitely have a different vibe to this album, but I'm liking it so far. Although the "singing" is about as diverse as LOG's.

nope. between the new megadeth, van halen, LoG, the rammstein best of and remixes, and soulfly, i haven't checked out much else. i'll do what i usually do, go to amazon, give the samples a once over and see how it feels.

That's where I love having Rhapsody. I have access to almost any album I want to hear and can listen on my phone or PC. It saves me from buying a lot of albums that I don't love. Speaking of which, that reminds me that I wanted to give the new Meshugga a listen.

i think a friend of mine has that. isn't that where you have to keep subscribing? like if you cancel your subscription, you lose access to all the music?

Yep, that's the one. The way I look at it is, its cheaper than satellite radio and I get way more use out of it than my XM.

I can download it to my phone, but it can only be used in the Rhapsody player. Its really just so you can listen to your library when you don't have a data connection.

Yeah and over time since I don't come close to my data cap I typically stream to my phone while in the car.

If you have a aux input on your car stereo and a smartphone or iPod touch, you just use a 3.5mm stereo male to male cable.
