Observations

Postby Elwood » February 20th, 2012, 2:06 pm

Yesterday, the wife and I went to "the big city" to see Les mis. We went to the mall prior to the show to eat at the Cheese Cake Factory. While at the mall, I made a few observations.

People can't live without cell phones
Kids can only communicate via cell phone
Yoga pants are awesome
People with a middle eastern appearance (with bags or jackets) hanging around support columns or in busy sections of the mall freak me out

What daily observations do you make?

People who get President's Day off live in fairy tale land as far as i'm concerned. I always assume they are the kinds of people who get 'personal days' off and have car allowances.

I've never had it off before. The boss decided that we should have at least a day off every quarter....so I'm not going to question him.

Actually I was doing neither at the time because they were both asleep. Now the little girl is up and watching the Princess and the frog from under the coffee table. So I'm keeping an eye on her.

Here's an observation, when you go to the doctor and she looks in your ear and says 'what is that?', she is asking a person who a)cannot look into his own ear to see what it is and b)isn't a doctor. How the hell do I know what's in there? Assuming of course it's not something i put in there for some reason.

She said it could be wax but it looked 'fleshy'. So she washed out my ear and nothing came out. She told me she was concerned it might be a bug. WTF?????

Well first she said it was fleshy so I sat there wondering what the hell it could be. A tumor?

Then it was only AFTER the fact that she told me it might have been a bug. It was just weird all around. I think my doctor is a bit crazy. She's an older Thai lady and every once in a while she'll drop some weird piece of knowledge on me.

The bathroom door thing, I have no fucking clue what all that is about. Do you not have a door on your bathroom? I guess that's the single life for you.
