Doctor Who Sixth Season

Postby miketheknife » January 3rd, 2012, 9:25 am

We just watched the second half of the sixth season of the 'new' Dr. Who. HOLY SHIT. I know not too many of you are watching this, but those six episodes are some of the most awesome sci-fi I've ever seen. The plot was incredibly tangled and nearly impossible to follow but once you finally put it all together it's like Oh. My. God.

I don't want to spoil anything on the off chance someone is going to watch it sometime so I'm not even posting any spoilers about it. But if you are not watching this on Netflix Instant View, then you are really missing out.

I haven't caught up on last season yet, but it's on my to-do list.

And yes, if you like sci-fi you should be watching this show. If only for Karen Gillen.

We had to get on the wait list at the library because I couldn't wait for Netflix to get season six up and running. Seriously the DVD's have been out over here like three months now and they can't manage to stream them?

Unfortunately I don't have access to BBC so I have to wait for it to come out on Netflix or DVD before i can see it. I still haven't seen LAST year's Xmas special.

No, next season is her last

The flame-haired actress, who plays Amy Pond, will exit the hit BBC1 show in the next series as she and her on-screen husband Rory (Arthur Darvill) meet a ‘heart-breaking end’.

He tried to dump her off once already, and I read there will be a new companion next season so I would guess she will only be around for a few episodes. Martha was my favorite companion so far.

I don't think it'll only be a few episodes. It'll probably be the first half of the season 7. End the Pond's storyline right at the midseason break and bring in the new companion for the second half

Pond has already had two full seasons, during which she recreated the entire universe just by thinking about it. As hot as she is I wouldn't mind a change of scenery. I would say you know the new companion will be hot, but then there's that whole Donna issue.
