Well, before yesterday, your point was invalid. However, Suh managed to take that reputation on himself yesterday. There is no place in football for that kind of shit.
no, before yesterday it was debatable
now it's a fact
It depended on what you considered "dirty"...was it Goodell's flag football definition (which labels 60% of the league dirty), or a definition from an era where good hits (not including helmet to helmet - there's never a place for that) were celebrated? Yesterday crossed the line for Suh...just ask Haynesworth how well you come back from something like this. He's never been the same since his stomping incident, reputation-wise or career-wise.
Serious question...can anyone remember how many games Fat Albert was suspended. I thought 4, but my memory is fuzzy. I'll be real surprised if Suh gets less than a 2 game suspension, especially given the LAME reasoning he used for his stomp. That won't sit well with Goodell.
I'll tell you what...if Suh thinks he's going to get unconditional support from Husker fans over this, he's in for a rude awakening. There is NOBODY here defending his actions. And this fanbase was 50/50 at worst over Pelini's blowups last season.
