Maybe we're getting old, because I had a lot of trouble spotting people, too. But then I guess that it's supposed to be realistic in that way. The camo is actually working in this one.

Spotting always works to the range of your weapon too keep in mind, I had no problem with it the other night. Seemed just like the last game.

I thought that also but then again the "prone" usage was pretty insane last night and I expect it to be from here on out. I can't tell you how many times I rushed by someone laying down I didn't see only to get shot or stabbed in the back.

The series has ALWAYS been sniper heavy too, don't forget that. I suspect there will be less camping as time goes on, people tend to do the corner camping shit when new maps or games are out.

BF3 Roll Call

Postby Jammer » October 27th, 2011, 10:35 am

There seems to be dark spots on the maps where I have found it hard to see enemies. Also the prone players I need to get better at seeing them.

BF3 Roll Call

Postby Jammer » October 27th, 2011, 11:03 am

Twice I had a prone sniper locked up went to knife them and they ended up killing me. It may be my poor skills or it is a bitch to knife prone people.

I don't have any major gripes yet with the game except for how much of a pain of an ass it is to get in a game with a crew.

As for seeing and spotting enemies I think it is an acquired feel. I have noticed an improvement the more I play. Over time as everyone learns the maps, you will have a better understanding as to where the enemies are coming from. I also constantly press select to spot enemies.

I have also found that I can only use iron sights or a reflex/red dot on any assault type rifle as anything with a scope/acog does not have the reaction time to kill before I am killed.

I like the larger maps. However, the smaller ones are stupid. Appeasing the CoD people? I just wish I could play one map and not rotate. Rush is stupid, at least on the smaller maps. Two choke points, game over. Sounds awesome. Minus my awful half day of work... I do really like some aspects of the game. Is there a way to keep from rotating maps? Do I just have to hop out and back in another game? Because I would actually like to play a map a few times and not constantly rotate. Especially when you have an inconsistent rush rotation. Hey... why don't you attack on Metro and then defend on Kurge Island? Jeez, that sounds fair. I get to run down a tunnel into a sea of bullets (and some jerk with mortars and an ammo crate) and defend the frozen tundra... and also, seriously. Level 24 already? seriously?

Sorry I jumped out last night but my son wanted to play and I cant really drop the funds for the online pass for his room. If you guys see me on and invite me just go ahead and kick me if its my son, unless you want a god damn mandingo warrior on your team that can kill any thing or anyone.

We did the same thing to them if you remember, even with a band of idiots on our team not taking advantage of the choke points or using any sort of team work. Was a satisfiying win for sure.

I would be up for some hot, private match action if anyone else is. I would also like the chance to choose the maps and explore a little bit before getting assassinated by Timmy.
