It's the atmosphere.

As for the turning games off. If it's a day game and the Pats are getting spanked, I'll watch it through to the end. Sunday or Monday night games...... I'll turn that shit off and go to bed

There is a rule regarding jerseys and the third variation (2 or 3 times a year i believe) but I don't think there is anything regulating pants.

Thanks, I know this was a big deal to the absurdly devoted fans going into the season.

I really just wanted to post a pic of the moment the Skins won.

I can't stand being around the average fan, which is why my kids will have to wait until they are older if they ever want to go to a game with dad... I can handle all other sports, just not football. People talk so f'n stupid about it I almost have to watch it at home. Sometimes I can put up with it during the day, but I'll never watch another night game at a bar that's for sure. I'm better off at home anyway. Its been hit or miss at games. I just can't stand the experts and have almost gotten in trouble a few times. Its always better when the team is good and people aren't as obnoxious... well, not as negatively as obnoxious.

I noticed that at the few Miami games i get to attend I am very calm on the outside during bad plays because i dont wanna look like the assholes around me. Plus you are already happy you are at a game and that happiness leads to a inner peace.I give you a few seasons and you will make other people laugh at you for your murderous rage at games.

Yeah it could be a miserly loves company thing also so when people around you are as upset as you...it's funny. The chick next to me was joking with me during the Indy loss so it wasn't as bad.

I need to come up with a thing so you can throw your hat at games and not lose it.

I thought you might appreciate that.

I can't go to a bar and watch a game, at least where I am now. If it was a Skins bar than I would give it a shot, too many people worried about stuff I am not while there is football to watch. I stay at home and hang with the family. I have had to tone it down a bit with the kids, but it is cool that my boy will hang around and cheer even if he doesn't know what he is watching yet.

Fishing rod and reel.

Also, I was at the Metrodome and got to see some girls that were smokin' hot in front of us every time Moon threw a TD, so that was actually not that bad either.

Also, McNabb would be in a coma if Matthews didn't pull a hammy doing the hammer toss with Donovan's torso.

I agree, Jamal Brown made Stephen Heyer look good yesterday. CP may be the best blocking RB in the league, and we needed him yesterday.

Something ptrain said sparked a thought (let that soak in for a second). People should come with a disclaimer. If you are near me on a gameday and your team is on and you claim to be a fan, know something about the team. I love talking to people about their teams so when you claim to be a fan but don't recognize the name of the starting linebacker I just asked about...you aren't really that much of a fan. Tell me up front that you aren't really that into football but root for the team and I'll keep it casual. Am I a football snob...Hell Yes.

Ding. Feel free to yell and scream, but don't start getting into x's and o's if you have no clue. Feel free to yell at someone for making a boneheaded play, miss a tackle, etc. That's fine. Just don't start getting into territory you have no clue about. So many people around here spout off and don't realize the job Thompson has done after the train wreck that he was given. The answer isn't always to pick up a free agent, especially since most are over the hill or have a ton of baggage. Also, realize that in signing over priced free agents that you may not have enough cap room to keep the players that came up in the organization and truly made it what it is.

I'm the guy that roots for a team but doesn't get that in-depth into it. So when I go to the sports bar do I need to make the rounds of nearby tables and tell everyone, yes I'm wearing a cards jersey but I don't know the names of the routes, guys--so go easy on me? Hell no, I will let some sweaty fat guy yell in my ear and spit on me talking about Flickety Flagginton, the third-string nose tackle coming in off on an injury after he was drafted 105th overall in '05 with his overpriced contract and his poor work ethic. And if I just nod and act angry, the guy assumes I know what he's talking about and goes back to his potato skins. That's the kind of fan I am.
