Here's the link to a tutorial. Friday begins my 10 days "between jobs" and I hope to play with Forge for a chunk of that. If anyone feels like teaming up to experiment on a map, let me know.

I'm working on a map right now. Well I wouldn't really even call it that. I'm making/made these HUGE ass bridges. It's funny, I was thinking "everyone is making maps....and I'm making bridges" lol

Reminds me of that level in halo 2 with the scorpion tank, the huge bridge and the banshees. Good memories!

so I didn't read the tutorial until now, and realized last night one thing I was doing wrong was just editing in basic editing, instead of choosing the game type and editing from there

I still think my spawns are fucked up, now for some reason in slayer (the only game types you can do on my map) you spawn in an area I didn't even identify...but I am going to mess with it more this weekend

Very cool! Looks like a fun, small map. A few questions for you. I saw a teleport exit at the top of one of the buildings, where is the entry? Also, it looks like there is a symbol for the spartans base right in the center, where is the covenant base?

I like the way you put some sweet weapons down on the lower level, like 'go down there at your own risk'. What gametypes were you considering for this map?

There are two teleporters actually, behind the gun bunker looking things...did they not show up?

And for symbols...I had no idea a symbol was there, I might have to have you show me.

I wanted it to be for small slayer games, king of the hill and maybe territories with small teams. Oddball would work, SWAT would be excellent. For some reason though right now it only works with slayer types.

I saw some icons on the ground behind those emplacements but didnt realize they were teleporters, I will check it out again. That icon is right in the middle of that circular area above the ground, I figured it was a base icon. Oddball would be a lot of fun on that map, territories too with those areas up top and on the bottom.

Could you do a basic description of how you did this thing, it looks like you put in some work building all the base parts and all that. Did yoU actually level out the ground to build those little paths down below or was the map already like that?

I will mess with those things tonight maybe, were you in slayer when you saw these things?

I actually started from the top down, since the ground is not level I made the walkways and ramps even first, then added from there
