The Walking Dead *Spoilers Included*

I saw a commercial for this last night, new series on AMC starting Halloween

for fans of the genre, this looks awesome

I'm totally packing wood for this show. Zombies never get old, as far as I'm concerned.

I am 100% with you. I don't know what's so appealing to me about it but books, movies, video games...I just cannot get enough of the zombie apocalypse.

I thought I had read that there is going to be a movie for World War Z, but I can't see cramming that whole book into a 2 hour movie. I far prefer the idea of a series or mini-series. The fact that Darabont is behind it makes me feel really good -- he's done a fine job with the Stephen King material he's worked with.

I just read a new book called 'The Passage' by Justin Cronin, anyone else read it? It was exciting and could turn into a great series. Some weird strain of virus from vampire bats gets weaponized by the military (of course) and turns basically everyone into freaky vampire creatures, then it's the story of these little groups of survivors 100 years after the epidemic. Worth a read if you are into it. Not exactly zombies, I know, but a very similar story line.

Ever read "The Book of the Dead"? It's a collection of zombie short stories by various horror writers. Some are really wild.

I'm not saying I just watched this, but if I had just watched it, I'd say it was pretty damn good, at least to me.

Very suspenseful, great visuals, good acting and very good at making you feel bad for the people left alive.

Much like Lotus, I'm not saying I just watched this but if I had just watched it I would concur that it is pretty damn awesome.
AMC could have a big winner here. It's already better than a crapload of zombie flicks that have been released in recent years....or so I would imagine.

Yeah, this series is going to kick ass...loved the premier

1. "Hey dumb ass, you cozy in there?" made me lol
