Cloud storage

Amazon basically gave the finger to iTunes yesterday blowing away iTunes math. With iTunes match you get all of your music stored in the cloud up to 25,000 songs for $24.99. Amazon had been offering a similar program but just upped their maximum to 250,000 songs for the same price.

Google Play is 20000 songs for free so I've been using that for the stuff I listen to most. Songs DL'ed from Google don't count against quota.

They don't currently offer a way to buy more capacity so that's the only downside at this point but against Apple there was no comparison. Amazon is now in the lead it would seem but I know there are some file types that they don't support. If you use mp3 it should be fine though.

I use Google play for cloud storage but also use Amazon for the purchases from them.

Just curious, are you guys using your phone to access cloud storage as a music player? Doesn't that rack up the data usage like a mo fo?

I play my music typically through Spotify or Pandora streaming. Even with doing that I only use on average 500 megs a month nowhere near my 2 GB plan.

Grandfathered unlimited ATT plan for me. I use the Pandora, XM or Google Play all the time. Spotify just released Android app so giving that a whirl now.

I don't use the cloud for music but should really figure out how to do that. Verizon unlimited data would be great for me

What do you think that equates to in hours?

I am not sure since I typically am driving from here or there on errands. But even in months with 8 hour round trips to one of our families I still never have come close to going over plus I am running Tom Tom with traffic services on those trips.
