Actually pulled a double this weekend and they could not be more different. After the US loss and more Coronas than I care to remember, I gave the remote to wifey and we ended up with My Sister's Keeper (she read book and wanted to see it). Holy Crap! If you have children, do not watch this movie. If you have borderline depression, do not watch this movie. If you have tear ducts, definitely do not watch this movie. This movie was amazing and really changed my opinion on Cameron Diaz and her acting abilities. The girl that played Kate (dying daughter) had one of the best performances I've seen in a long time. I know she wasn't really dying but damn did she convince you she was. If you want to weep like a little girl, check this one out.
Then I got Crank: High Voltage. I'm a huge Statham fan and loved the first one (have seen it probably 7-8 times at this point). #2 didn't really do it for me, guess the novelty wore off. It still had a lot of the camera tricks I loved with #1 but the movie itself was just not as good as the first. The scene on the horse track is an instant classic and had me in the floor laughing. I think this is one I need to watch again to make sure, I'll probably end up loving it.
