* Woods had taken the sedative Ambien that night, and was in a stupor when Nordegren woke him after her sting operation on Uchitel.
* Woods sent Uchitel a panicky text warning her that Nordegren had discovered the affair and implying that divorce was imminent. Nordegren soon found this text as well, then chased him with a golf club.
* Woods did not return home immediately upon his release from the hospital, likely explaining why Nordegren did not accede to much-publicized requests from visiting police to chat with him.
