But I also read he isn't impressed with the receivers behind Fitz and we'd have to make some moves to draw in some more talent. I mean Warner threw to a pretty talented bunch and those guys are gone.

I would worry more about the o-line, not saying Zona is bad, but any prospective team I went to play for in his condition.

And they just got rid of their best tackle...

NFL Draft/Combine/Offseason Chatter

I don't think Manning is going to the NFC. Denver is where I think he is heading though the weather there could be a factor to a precision passing guy.

Honestly the weather thing is overblown to me a little but maybe I just don't know enough about the guy. I mean, we only have a couple bad weather home games honestly and road games are road games so it's not as if he hasn't played in bad conditions. I get the indoor versus outdoor thing, but still.

NFL Draft/Combine/Offseason Chatter

Postby Jammer » March 13th, 2012, 10:17 am

Though I hate them, the NFL really screwed the Cowboys and Redskins with that uncapped year issue. Doesn't seem like they did anything wrong and it is even worse that they took the money away a day before free agency.

They didn't do a damn thing wrong...not to mention every contract has to be approved by the NFL. So, the NFL approved every one of these deals, and only have a problem with them 2 years later (and the day before Free Agency as Jammer points out)? Sorry, but that's revisionist history. Goodell is taking way too many pages out of David Stern's selective governing book, and making the league look just as sorry as the NBA at times.

Well except who the hell wants to shovel snow for half a year. Or pay someone to shovel snow as the case may be.

Brandon Marshall to Da Bears for 2 3rd round picks.

They say it clears cap space for Manning, but who does he throw to?

Nope, they came out and said this was in the works long ago, not a cap move.

I should have clarified..."they" meaning the writer of the article I read, not the Dolphins. Probably just speculation, however they need to do more to attract Manning at this point. It will have to be Wayne if they are looking for old targets for Peyton, because Garcon just signed a huge (read: WAY overpriced) deal with the Redskins.

Its a whirlwind of signings right now. Hate to see Jason Campbell go, he was such a classy guy. I wish Reggie could sign few of these names instead of walking thru the shit swamp that was Al Davis' cap space nightmare. "IF" this dude can build another contender in Oakland, it will take him at least 8 years.
