I will say sometimes if you pre-order something far enough in advance it doesn't even mention release day shipping but I have still had it get here on release day. Honestly if it's not more I don't know why there would be an option. Maybe it's a Prime thing.

Before I had prime I believe it still was free for release day shipping. I would have went to the store and picked up up if it wasn't .

It was. The first time I noticed they incorporated 2 day shipping as release day shipping was for Halo 4, which I preordered last month. Before that, I had release day shipping as an option along with 2 day prime shipping.

Now there are little boxes on the side under the order button that show exactly it will cost to get your item on a certain day. I am pretty sure that's a new feature so yeah Johnny it looks like they updated the whole shipping/prime interface.
