I have here and there, honestly sometimes I go solo for parts because I like to enjoy it at my pace versus the "go here, now go here" thing which is what my kid does to me. I will join up at some point though, loving the game.

It was on the internet. It must be true.

I stopped reading it at Hard/Good Graphics.

I have read that on anything but normal it's extremely challenging, and I would debate that normal solo is a massive challenge at some points. And the graphics on this game are nothing short of phenomenal seriously. Failed attempt at the funny from someone either biased or has never played it.

Saying "influenced by WoW" is like saying the new Star Trek movie was influenced by Deep Space 9. Rabb is right about both the graphics and difficulty. Another thing worth mentioning about D3 is how very fast the load times are and how seemless the drop-in / drop out co-op is.

And honestly, why would being influenced by the most popular and successful MMO of all time be a bad thing? Hell, take a game like The Last of Us that is about to come out this year, it's influenced by Uncharted/Naughty Dog which makes me want it. If someone had said "influenced by Halo" they would assume it had a great lobby and matchmaking system or something...why is that a negative or joke?

My bet is it was a console gamer that made this. Which would be hilarious with the DRM crack.

Diablo - released in 1996
Diablo 2 - released in 2000
World of Warcraft - released in 2004
Diablo 3 - released in 2012

So yeah, the whole "influenced by WoW" comment doesn't really work for me. But hey, haters gonna hate.

I can appreciate that, but I kinda look at it like playing T-Hunt in R6V. So long as you're not playing with Poonga, it's a lot more fun in a team. And Domo and I would be bringing in characters that are the same level as yours (maybe even lower now), so it's not like we'd be dominating the game.

Also due to the increased difficulty of enemies when you play MP, the side effect is that you get more XP and better loot drops. I fear that if you just go through all of Normal difficulty solo, you will be woefully under-leveled and under-equipped for Hell level.

Cool, will do and maybe tonight even we will see. I realize in reading what I wrote, I hope you didn't take that as something against you and Domo, it was a general reason why sometimes I roll solo in just about any co-op game for a while. I like playing the game and seeing the story, not have someone whip through it before I know what the hell happened.

I am only a 13 right now so yeah I would like some XP

I also didn't really get the negative part of being influenced by one of the most popular, best selling games in history. It's like a guitar player saying they were influenced by Eric Clapton and trying to say it's a bad thing.

Good times last night, Fuzz. My observations from our session:

1. Having a team with complimentary skills (wizard, barbarian, witch doctor) really allowed us to rain down some serious death. I couldn't believe how fast we took down The Butcher.

2. Enemy difficulties ramp up enough with 3 players that if anyone tries to go "lone wolf", they're going to get stomped.

3. Goddamn, I love this game.

Yessir, agreed. I think I read the monk had heals, if that was or fourth that would round out a pretty awesome team. I hope to make it out back on tonight for some more carnage.

Yeah, my primary character is a level 42 monk and the heals it brings to the team are huge. On Hell difficulty and beyond, I think having a monk along for the ride will be critical.
