You can turn him off in the options.

Oh he is so off. I didn't realize you could do that. Is it a switch that says something "Dickhead: ON OFF"?

Freaking twisted ankle has me having to use the "turbo" button the whole time just to get up the court.

Everybody knows that NBA players don't play when they're hurt. Who are you trying to impress? :D

You do have the option to sit out and heal in 2 days or play through it and heal in 4 days.

Does this game have the feature where you get your ass beat in the locker room by the veterans for making them look bad?

You should rename him Julius Hodge and customize him with 1 testicle. At least then when you are washed out of the NBA you have an excuse.

Tried another summer league game again with my PG. Fucking a man. How do you guys get through this shit? I cannot get an assist, these fucking douchebags miss EVERY SINGLE SHOT. Now I've started trying to force the ball inside to give them dunks or easy layups and the fucking defense has turned into a bunch of octopi, they steal every single god damn motherfucking shitsnippig ball that goes inside.

Do you guys just score like crazy with your PG's or what? My guy is supposed to be 'pass first', which stacks the deck against him when John Wall cannot make a fucking 3-foot shot.

I started out with a shooting guard and experienced the same thing...I had a shooting guard that sucked at shooting.

After making a new big man, I haven't had an issue. On a personal note, my high school coach once told me the world is full of 6'3" white guys that can shoot...hence me going to a shit ass school and not going any further. FML.

I have a shooting guard that can shoot a little... just didn't at first. I went all around with a 6'4" guy. To be honest, I crashed the boards as hard as possible, only tried to take shots when wide open (3s are usually a good option since they sag against you). You still get points for missing as long as you are open. Pump fake in the lane unless on a fast break. Leak out if you are in no position for a rebound and you have a chance to cherry pick, though those shots can be tough. Make sure you follow the offensive flow, but if you are halfway into a set, leak to spot on the same side of the court around the 3 pt line. Don't play help defense too much and in transition, sink to the lane for a sec, but find your guy and pick him up asap. D switching is really the only gripe I have in this game for the most part. I haven't played with a forward or center, so I'm not sure if they are tougher to play with though.

I think I am going to scrap my guy and start over. I've got about 5 games into the D-League season and I'm getting better, but I don't know how long it's going to take to crawl out of the hole I dug for myself early on, not to mention I don't want to be "promoted" to the Pistons at some point.

Yeah, now that you have it down a little better, it might be worth it. I'm about 35 games in and couldn't imagine playing those games. I think I got lucky with the Heat because those guys finish quite well and I get assists on shit I shouldn't which helps quite a bit. However, the transition d aspect and taking good shots I think has been key for me getting better ratings. The ankle thing Jammer mentioned does suck though. I am still in the midst of one and it sucks, though, the last game I guarded someone with an ankle injury (maybe knee) so it was like watching two cripples getting up and down the court. At least I didn't have to worry about transition dunks.

I'm about ready to give up on my player games. I've got a PF, a SG and a PG and can't do anything with any of them. I don't see how any of you score any points in this game, ever. Assists are also impossible. I am not going to sell the game or anything, I just think I don't 'get' my player games. I am getting so fucking angry right now, not really what I want from playing a game.

MTK I know exactly what you are saying. I enjoy the My Player and my guy at times has good games but I don't feel like a NBA player. I moved back to the association and am having a blast with it. Now I am playing 12 minute quarters which takes a long time with custom sliders but I figure I will sim some games and take my time with it.

Combine game one down with my new player. Projected draft spot is now 2nd round, 5th pick versus "Better luck next year" after same time with last player.
