"My Player" stories

I want to hear about everyone's 'my players'.

El Funkenstein is a 6'8" 200 lb. power forward from Arizona State (who for some reason can't dunk). He got a D- and two D's in the combine, was drafted in the second round by the Heat and only got to play 3 summer league games before he was shipped off to the Bakersfield Jam. However in his first game with the jam he received a B- rating, his highest yet. Maybe being knocked down to the NBA D-league was exactly what he needed to jump start his career.

Rabb Tastic is a 6'9" 230 lb Power Forward, out of Iowa that was drafted 10th in the 2nd round by the Pacers. He hasn't played yet (because I haven't played my player since he was drafted) but had a solid combine that sucked at first then improved and a good summer league where I think I got a B every game.

He can also set screens like nobody's business.

Dude can do well on the boards, but out of the combine and summer league games I have one damn dunk, nice work Mr. Tastic.

I used my real name and my guy is a 6' 200 lb shooting guard that was drafted with the 4th pick in the 2nd round by the Blazers. My teammates share the ball with me and I am now starting to reward them by knocking some shots down and getting 35 minutes a game. Just moved into the starting lineup recently after the first 20 games being the sixth man.

Jammer were you able to get through the summer league and get right on with the team?

Sabres--you can share your NHL or FIFA stories as well. I may eventually buy the FIFA game when it comes down in price.

Also Rabb--how do you set screens? And how the hell did you get B's in the summer league, those guys kicked my ass. Basically the only way I increase my rating is 'successful box outs' and the occasional assist. I can't buy a rebound.

Yeah I got drafted and immediately put into the sixth player role. Started out getting around 20 minutes a game.

I literally move my guy and smother the other defender, it works like crazy and keeps my grade up, I grab a lot of boards and try and not take bad shots (whatever THAT means)

it's hit and miss but you have to hold RT and use the right stick to dunk...my problem is right stick also can shoot so I end up shooting sometimes when I want to bring the thunda'

Is it rightstick up for dunk and rightstick down for shoot or something more complicated? I'm still trying to figure out the particulars. Especially when my back is to the basket and he gets stuck in that pivoting motion where he doesn't seem to want to release the ball.

My biggest issue is what MTK mentioned, getting stuck in the low post and not being able to do anything.
