Woot Off today

I have an old ipod that I use when I travel because I can beat it up, it has a lot of storage and don't have to worry about the battery if it dies (unlike my phone). I use tablet for mostly for books or the occasional movie if I'm in a weird place and my phone is (besides a phone) my mobile media hub.

The iPad is so that my kid has something to watch when I'm ignoring him and screwing around on my iPhone. Otherwise he might make an inadvertant emergency call. Jeez why is that so hard to comprehend?

It is kind of funny because the functionality is there for both, and yet....I use them...for such...different things. Honestly, the only reason we picked up an iPad was prior to flying with the kid (and it paid for itself on one trip). Well, that and it was a little easier to take the $$$ hit since it was $150 cheaper through base on Black Friday. I mainly use it as an eReader, Fantasy sports tracker/management, and general entertainment when traveling for work so I don't have to take/purchase a laptop. Don't get me wrong, I love having it but was content by what the iPhone would do for me.

I have a feeling Apple's next product will fill that tremendous size gap between the Iphone and the Ipad. It doesn't matter what it's actually going to to--people will stand in line for days to pay 500 dollars for one, even if it just has one big button and when you press it, it makes a fart sound.

I had my iPad before I got my iPhone. I don't like my iPhone for movies and video, because it's too small. I like the iPad for Netflix and the like when I'm just relaxing on the couch while my wife is watching her Gray's Anatomy crap.
