If you hit the 'n' key it will bring up your companion menu. You can send your companion off on missions and they bring shit back that you can use to make things. If your companion manages to bring back some rubat crystals I could really use them. That's really all I am saying. Well that and give peace a chance.

I will look, my Archaeology skill is in the 30s now but we just typically scan stuff as I walk by them. The only thing my companion has been able to do as far as I know is to go sell my junk.

Well maybe archaeology works differently. I actually have to send my companion on missions that take from 3-6 minutes, but now that you mention it I have wondered why I saw other peoples' companions scanning random areas in the game world.

Well I had been just selling off stuff created from scans but I will save those crystals for you and mail them off when I get some.

Thanks dude. If you have a crafting skill that requires components let me know, I probably have some of them. I keep finding rare metals and fabrics, I have just been saving them up in my locker.

I think you have to have your ship before you can actually craft something.

I have the option to craft 3 things but they each require 2 rubat crystals. I don't have a ship yet.

Well that is what I told myself since I couldn't figure out how to do it. I thought that was strange.

I just read something which says you can change your skills at any time, so I'll probably switch to armortech.

You can view all your info in the companion menu, just push "N" and for me, it shows 3 boxes, one for each skill. If I click on them it opens up either a menu to send my companion on a mission, or a menu for items to craft.

Doing some research I keep seeing a lot of people saying that BioChem is the way to go. I will be doing that or Synthweaving. Wish they had Guild banks already.
