Week 12: New York at Denver

First and foremost, happy thanksgiving to all of you. I hope you enjoy this day and whatever you are thankful for!

This will be short and sweet today as I’m busy getting ready to fry a bird, yum.

Denver will host the New York Giants tonight in an effort to stop the losing streak. Sunday, the Broncos were demolished by the Chargers to drop to 6-4 on the season. Not only was this Denver’s fourth straight loss but it also put San Diego in control of the division.

The team is clearly a little lost and hopefully the players only meeting that Brian Dawkins called this week will give them the direction and jolt needed to get back to their winning ways. The Giants are a lot like Denver this year in that they just haven’t been consistent.

Kyle Orton should start this game and they will need him to be great. The Giants have a tough front 7 and will test the offense. Defensively, I think Denver can really do some damage against a streaky Eli Manning. I look for a big game from the secondary.

I am staying true to my predictions and calling a Broncos victory by a final score of 28-10. It’s a big stage after an embarassing loss and in Denver after the veterans on the team talked to the players. If they can’t win this with some intagibles in their favor, they need more help than I realize. That said, turnovers will determine this game again.

I will do a postgame recap of the San Diego debacle and this game in the next few days.

Go Broncos!!!
