On the heels of signing CB Ty Law yesterday, the Broncos announced that 2nd year corner Jack Williams has been waived. I am not sure how much I like this. To be honest, I hate this move.
Not only was Jack “MF’ing” Williams a fan favorite, he was a young talent that I think could have developed nicely. That said, his play in the nickle spot over the season has been questionable and he was flat out toasted against the Ravens and often out of position.
I wouldn’t be shocked to see Williams end up on the practice squad if he isn’t picked up by another team. I hope he is back with Denver in some way, getting rid of young talent for a short-term veteran is a little puzzling to me.
