It was announced today that Denver Broncos running back Ryan Torain is injured…again. This morning the team learned that he has strained the PCL in his right knee and will not be available throughout the remainder of the preseason.
This is very disappointing but unfortunately I just don’t think Torain can make it a full season, or even a several game stretch, while remaining healthy. This is his 3rd serious injury in just over a year. He has all the talent in the world but injuries have kept him from showing it off during games consistently since being drafted last year.
Torain has been waived/injured by the team today, per coach Josh McDaniels after practice. To fill the roster spot, they signed running back Marcus Thomas today who was with the Dallas Cowboys. Thomas also spent time with the Detroit Lions in 2008.
