Let’s Talk Week 10

Posted By LT. Under Sports

I went 2 for 3 in week nine so as long as I’m riding this hot streak, let’s roll into another week of games to see if we can’t win you a little money this weekend.

Let’s get right to the big boy match up of the week and potential Super Bowl preview.  (It’s never too early to start looking at super bowl props by the way).

Houston @ Chicago (-1.5)

If you are a fan of defense, strap in because this one is going to be one to watch.  The Bears D scores more points than most offenses and Houston has proven week in and week out that they can shut you down on multiple fronts.  The key to this game will be keeping Jay Cutler upright which can be a challenge as we have seen.  The Texans have the ability to maintain coverage while bringing enough pressure up front to disrupt even the strongest of offensive lines.  Schaub has been very good off of play action which could mean a few long balls to Andre Johnson.  In the end I see two teams that both have strong reasons on why they will win this but I’m giving it to the home team.

Bears 24  Texans 21

Detroit (-2) @ Minnesota

These two teams are very evenly matched so it will be the little things that bring home the W.  Detroit has been very balanced recently on offense with an improved run game.  My gut is telling me though that Adrian Peterson will be the focus and the Vikings will force the run game down Detroit’s throats.  Special Teams should get the Vikes in solid position for A.D. to bring it home.  Going with the home team on this one

Vikings 28  Lions 24

Atlanta (-2.5) @ New Orleans

The Saints look like they got the electric paddles and have stopped flat-lining.  As good as they’ve looked though, they are running into the roadblock that is the undefeated Atlanta Falcons.  Neither team has looked great in the run game recently so this is going to be a battle in the air.  Matty Ice and Brees has been chucking it all over the field and leveling opposing defenses…I don’t expect that to change this week.  It’s hard to bet against the Falcons right now but I’ve got that little feeling in my gut.  Not saying the Saints will bring this home but they will keep it very close and I think they cover.  (If you want a little better line, try to find the best online betting reviews)

Falcons  31  Saints  30
