Frost Boss Review

Posted By LT. Under Beer, Featured, Grub and Booze, Product Reviews, Tailgating

Who wants a warm drink on a hot day…no one.  While you hope that endless coolers full of beer and soda are available in the lot, chances are you will come across a warm can at some point.  This leaves you with two options, toss back a room temperature beverage or wait for the cooler to work its magic.  I don’t know about you but when I am ready for a beer, I am ready for a beer.  For those of us who are patience challenged, the perfect cooler has the cure.  Meet the Frost Boss.

I will admit I was a little skeptical when I first saw it.  When would I really ever be without a cold drink?  Sure enough while vacationing at the beach I woke up with a craving for Diet Coke and there were none cold GASP!!  Luckily I brought the Frost Boss with me to test it out not knowing that I would have a real need for its services.  While listening to “that thing won’t work” from my housemates, I patiently waited and was rewarded with a freezing cold caffeine boost.

The process is quite simple.  You click the can into the spinning koozie-like motor and place the can into the cradle.  Then add a handful of ice and click the button.  In two short minutes you have a nice cold drink thanks to 500rpm of spinning magic.  And for those wondering, the spinning motion does not give you a can that will explode in your face.

If you don’t feel like carrying the entire unit, it also works well placed in a cooler of ice.  You get the picture-motor+ice=cold drink.  I can see making space for the Frost Boss in my gameday kit.  It’s quite small and will probably save your butt a time or two.
