Ok, so it’s already been upon us but I am going to be selfish here and say that MY season is officially upon us…or me! Last night, the 2012 NFL season kicked off for me personally, no offense Hall of Fame game. I spent the entire week in anticipation for the Denver Broncos to face off against the Chicago Bears last night in their first pre-season game of the 2012 NFL season.
Food, check.
Laptop for some Online Games during downtime, check.
Bronco hat that I ceremoniously throw out of anger, check.
Yes, I know pre-season is pretty meaningless to most but for me I love the opportunity to see the new faces (Peyton effing Manning!) that the team acquired through free agency or the NFL draft this past off season. Despite the starters playing pretty minimally, the entire team played very well I thought and pretty much handled the Bears. It’s all relative really, with both teams not starting certain people and specifically the Bears not starting several key players including Jay Cutler. Regardless, the Broncos seemed a lot more disciplined in all 3 phases of the game and went on to a 31 – 3 victory. The biggest thing I was hoping for in respect to both teams (yes, I am a good sport) was to come away with no major injuries.
Get the grills and coolers ready boys and girls, the 2012 NFL season is here!
