Tuaca and Tattoos

Posted By LT. Under Featured, Grub and Booze, Liquor/Spirits, Mixed Drinks, Recipes

Being a lover of Tuaca and tats, I was very happy to hear about the collaboration between one of my favorite drinks and an amazing artist.  Unlike other brands we cover, I’m happy to say that this one didn’t need any field testing due to a long, established history with my stomach.  Chances are if you walk into my house and check the freezer, you are going to find a very cold bottle of Tuaca in there.

The partnership the brand just launched is with famed tattoo artist Corey Miller.  You’ve seen Corey do his thing on one of the many tattoo shows on the air these days.   He’s the owner of Six Feet Under in California and came into the national mainstream on the cast of LA Ink.  Corey designed the artwork for Tuaca’s new temperature controlled bottle.  It uses thermochromatic ink technology – a type of dye that changes color as the temperature of the bottle increases or decreases.  As this bottle chills, the ink turns from silver to blue to let you know it’s pretty damn cold.

This amazing looking bottle is a great addition to any bar and a perfect gift for the Tuaca lover in your life.  For those of you brave enough to get in the chair, you can enter for a chance to have Corey tattoo you, check it out here.  Now the good stuff.  Aside from it being amazing chilled straight up, here are a few more ideas for your mixing pleasure.  One of the things that makes Tuaca a favorite of mine is it’s versatility.  I’m perfectly content enjoying it as a shot but with vanilla and citrus flavors, it’s able to add depth to drink recipes based on liquors with not nearly as much flavor.  Enjoy.
