Those of you who enjoyed the Michael Jordan goodness in 2K11 should be doing backflips over this news. 2K Sports is adding a mode in the 2012 edition that will offer the chance to run 15 of the game’s all-time greatest players against current rosters.

Each of these 15 basketball legends has been meticulously recreated with an uncanny level of detail, including period-specific depictions of their arenas, team uniforms, signature moves, and even historically accurate broadcast presentation styles in NBA 2K12. Gamers will now tap into the legacy of these legendary athletes by utilizing their signature moves, such as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s unstoppable skyhook, to rule the virtual hardwood.
