TWO AND A HALF MEN has found Charlie Sheen's replacement

Posted By T.J.. Under Featured, Leisure Time

Kutcher has apparently landed the gig

In an odd bit of casting, Demi Moore’s hubby and Punk’d creator Ashton Kutcher has landed the job of replacing Charlie Sheen on CBS’ hit sitcom Two and a Half Men.  Sheen, who had a major falling out with producer Chuck Lorre, was fired from the show, but many thought that he may indeed return one day.  Guess not.  The sitcom is being sort of rebooted to fit a new character and that appears to be where Ashton comes in.

Kutcher, Jon Cryer, and the rest of the cast will be seen again this fall on CBS.

To be honest, Charlie Sheen made this show a hit.  It’s unfortunate that he decided to go a bit crazy and cause problems with the producer that eventually got him canned.  The only way that this show will survive is if the writers can get really creative with whoever Ashton Kutcher’s character is going to be.  He doesn’t need to try to be Charlie…he needs to be funny, but let’s not try to copy Sheen in any way.  Kutcher has comedic potential and if the material is solid, perhaps he can make audiences embrace the new vibe of the show when it debuts this fall.  Believe me, it will have a new tone…nobody can replace Charlie Sheen and what he brought to the sitcom.  It would be smart for the creators to not even try to do that.
Kutcher himself tweeted the following last night:
what’s the square root of 6.25?

The answer is, of course, 2.5.

Ashton previously starred in the Fox comedy series “That ’70s Show” from 1998 to 2006

I do…and I don’t. Since this is a completely different character there is an opportunity to keep the show nearly as funny as it was. There could have been far worse choices here. You can’t replace Sheen…but you can create something that is still fun to watch. Kutcher can pull this off.

At least Kutcher is sane and only has one goddess (that we know of).

If I & my whole family will continue to watch this show, we want Charlie back; he’s the best & natural for this show. We just LOVE HIM.

    PLEASE BRING HIM BACK… PLEASE
