David Gilmour and Roger Waters Unite

Posted By LT. Under Featured, Music

It doesn’t get any bigger for Pink Floyd fans.  After a small stint together at Live 8 in 2005, the pair got together to perform “Comfortably Numb” at London’s O2 arena.  The performance is quite suspicious considering the band has a ton of music releasing soon including never released material.  Whatever the reason, fans are happy to get even brief glimpses into the past.

I remember after Live 8, David Gilmour described the reunion as: “like sleeping with my ex-wife”. I would be thrilled to see the surviving members of the band get back together and produce some new material. With the exception of his French opera, Waters hasn’t done anything in forever. I didn’t mind Gilmour’s last album musically, but lyrically it was pretty rough. Gilmour and Waters are a lot better together than they are apart.
