In an update to a story posted earlier this week, it appears that Mark Ruffalo (Shutter Island) is in talks to take over the role of Bruce Banner (Hulk) from Edward Norton. The studio confirmed that Norton is out, and Ruffalo may indeed land the role. Mark is a decent actor and would be a decent fit for The Avengers, which hits theaters May 4, 2012. Stay tuned for confirmation of this story.

Judging by the pic, everyone who has survived the previous installments is back for the fifth round. The only people missing here are Lucas Black (from Tokyo Drift – I don’t think he’s in the film) and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, who is in the cast. The Justin Lin-directed film is scheduled for a June 10, 2011 release.

The studio describes the film as follows:
Sometimes funny, sometimes shocking, and always riveting, the film is a portrait of an artist at a crossroads. Defying expectations, it deftly explores notions of courage and creative reinvention, as well as the ramifications of a life spent in the public eye.
