Well Done Pirates

Posted By LT. Under Sports, Uncategorized

The team that just loves to fail is up to their old tricks.  You would think a team mired in a never ending streak of losing seasons like the Pirates would do whatever necessary to win right??? WRONG.  General manager Neal Huntington and team president Frank Coonelly thought it would help the team by send arguably its best player, Nate McLouth, to the Braves for three prospects.  Quite possibly the best part of this story is manager John Russell telling the team that the organization is committed to winning….really John…are ya?

Second baseman Freddy Sanchez said “I think the biggest thing was the shock factor. It’s obviously a tough pill to swallow. Our No. 3 hitter just got taken away, the guy who leads our team in home runs and RBIs, and we were 6½ games out. We could still have been right there. I think we still can. But we’re all just kind of wondering right now … wondering what it is.

This really is a sad story for the team with probably the coolest hats in the history of baseball

How can a team in a city with the Super Bowl champs and a hockey team in the finals not at least be good by osmosis?  Something has to rub off at some point to the help with this suckitude.  Maybe Mike Tomlin can come over and become pitching coach. I mean, even the pirates that were sniped off of Somalia at least took hostages for a day or two…what did you guys do??
