Shaq to Cleveland, a good move?

Posted By LT. Under Uncategorized

It has been reported that Shaq has been traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers by the Phoenix Suns in exchange for Ben Wallace, Sasha Pavlovic, the 46th pick in the draft this year and half of a million dollars.

I am calling it now, I think this was a terrible move on Cleveland’s part and actually makes them worse.  I don’t see this as anything more than a rental to make a title run and keep LeBron James in town.  What will end up happening is, LeBron will leave after they once again don’t win a championship and Shaq will follow.  I think Ben Wallace is a more complete player at this point in both of their careers and giving up a draft pick for the future of the team for a guy this old is silly.  I love Shaq, don’t get me wrong…I just don’t see how this makes Cleveland any better than last season and certainly don’t see how it would help them against an Orlando type squad.

Maybe I am wrong here, I just don’t like this move for Cleveland and think that it will ultimately set them back.
